STEP BY STEP
- Identify a problematic sentence
- write the sentence and initiate the "surgery"
- rearrange the words
- practice more sentences with the same pattern
- time the lessons
ESOL students may encounter sentences that are hard to understand because of the order in which words are said. for this activity the students will have sentence strips that they will cut and rearrange to make better sense.
